Tricia Tam, Head of Inclusive Education

Tricia has 19 years of experience in early childhood education, including 12 years in special education (children aged 7-18). She has worked with children with a range of developmental challenges, developing individual education plans that bring positive outcomes.
Tricia takes on a collaborative approach towards innovating and improving inclusive practices in preschools so that every child has an equal opportunity to learn.
Her career goals in the field of inclusive education are to continue honing my skills and knowledge in order to provide the best support possible for the children and families she works with. She aspires to make a lasting difference in their lives by fostering their growth and development in various areas, such as communication, social skills, and cognitive abilities.
Seeing the children grow has been an incredible journey. It fills her heart with joy to observe the significant strides they make in their overall development. I have witnessed children who initially struggled with communication skills gradually become more expressive and confident in expressing their needs and thoughts. Additionally, she has seen tremendous progress in their social interactions, as they learn to form connections with peers and develop essential relationship-building skills.

Valencia Tan, Manager of Inclusive Preschool

Having worked in a SPED school for 5 years, Valencia values a relational partnership with the children there, with consistency being key to attaining success in academic learning and character building. Her work ethics include seeking first to understand a child above anything else. She also believes to be the catalyst to inform the community around her on people with special needs – on ways to support a quality life that is both meaningful and dignifying for the individuals.
She believes that all children deserve to be taught the way they learn best.
To demystify special needs and promote inclusion, starting within the school grounds.

Jane Tan, Lead Early Intervention Specialist

Jane has over 10 years of experience supporting children in special education and early childhood settings. She has worked with children aged 3 to 18 with a range of developmental needs and is passionate about creating inclusive environments where every child can thrive.

An advocate for early intervention and inclusion, Jane works closely with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to support children’s learning, development, and participation. Her professional interests include inclusive education, programme development, and strengthening systems of support for children with diverse needs.

Her goal is to equip children of different learning challenges with the right basketful of skills to help them cope in their daily challenges.

Micaela Sandhiya Pereira, Early Intervention Specialist

Micaela has over 5 years of experience in early childhood education and early intervention. Since joining Bright Path in 2020, she has supported preschools across the Busy Bees network, working closely with teachers, families, and allied health professionals to develop and implement Individualised Education Programmes (IEPs) and inclusive support strategies.
She is passionate about creating inclusive learning environments where every child can participate, learn, and thrive. Micaela values strong partnerships with families and educators and is dedicated to helping children build confidence, independence, communication, and social participation.
Micaela is committed to advancing inclusive education practices. She continually develops her professional knowledge and skills to better support children and families, with a long-term goal of empowering educators and school leaders to effectively support learners of all abilities and needs.

Marilyn Tan, Educational Psychologist

Marilyn has 17 years of experience in special education, supporting children and adolescents with diverse learning, developmental, and socio-emotional needs across specialised educational, residential care, and private settings. She is passionate about partnering with families, caregivers, and educators to create supportive environments where children can thrive. At the centre, she leads the transition planning process, working closely with families and schools to support each child’s readiness for their next educational journey.
Marilyn approaches her work through a trauma-informed lens, advocating for safe spaces where children can thrive in.
She embraces a neurodiversity-affirming perspective and sees each child as a unique individual with their own strengths to be nurtured given the right environment.
As a certified children’s yoga teacher, she is also a strong advocate for movement and nature as essential elements for a child’s development and well-being.

Eunice Goh, Associate Educational Psychologist

Eunice has over a decade of experience across early childhood education, early intervention, and inclusive education, supporting preschool-aged children with a range of learning, developmental, and socioemotional needs.
She adopts an ecological systems approach, recognising that children’s outcomes are shaped not only by individual factors, but also by the relationships, environments, and broader systems around them.
Eunice places strong emphasis on building collaborative partnerships with caregivers and educators; her goal is to co-construct individualised, evidence-based, and sustainable strategies that promote children’s participation, learning, and well-being across settings.
